What do you think about sharkisland? Sharkisland is a impredictable spot, because all waves are different. It's also very technical and powerfull. Overall it's a special wave for bodyboarding.
What do you think about the Australian level? Right now it's the best in the world, they have a very refined style and they surf big and powerfull waves very well .
Is it possible for a European to win at sharkisland? Well offcourse! The only thing is that in order to win such a event you have to be acostumed to surf powerfull waves and know the spot very well.
We received news of another endangered wave in Europe. This time is infamous canarian wave Tauro, a ledging right that can throw you everything that the ocean has. Tauro is Located in the south coast of Gran Canaria, and it is one of the best spots on those rare south swells. It will be a big loss for everyone if the plans to make a harbour there go ahead. You can check a gallery of Tauro here by lpsurf. Photo: Grimon

Pride bodyboards team rider Brendon Newton has pushed things again by catching "the biggest wave ever" in teahupoo without the aid of jetskis. The swell was about 12-18ft with huge bombs coming trough. As usual the spot was dominated by bodyboarders and the only surfers catching the beasts were towing in. Also present were Danny Wall from England, Ross Mcbride, Spencer Skipper, Brad Jackson among others. You can check some photos of the session here courtesy of 662mob, however the wave of the day caught by brendon remains a mistery. Can someone trow a photo please?
The world tour ranking goes as it follows: 1st place for Ryan Hardy after winning the sharkisland contest and a couple of regional events. Ryan is looking really strong this year but all the pressure will come up to him in the next events. Best European on the tour is none but Yeray Martinez(8th) from Canary islands. 2nd best is Hugo Pinheiro from Portugal that managed to stay in the top 16. Next international event will be Europe's own Sintra pro in Portugal, so we can all predict some serious battling in atlantic waters. In the pic, the current world champion Ben Player.
