The trials to the famous sharkisland contest took place this weekend. Settled in the fat waves of Cronulla point, the mini contest had a nice 3-4 ft swell coming trough the point. Present were European Riders Nuno Trovão, Ricardo Faustino, Luis Bajolo, Luis Porquito(photo), Hugo Pinheiro all from Portugal and Amaury Laverhne from France. Unfortunately only Hugo Pinheiro managed to go trough and will be attending the sharkisland contest for the second time in his life. He will be joining Pierre Louis Costes and Yeray Martinez (both wildcards)at the main event. Good luck for all, let's do it!

Uri Valadão proved again at the rio pro that he might just be the best in the world surfing small waves. Who can beat this guy when he is on? Overall the event went fine with good prizes, live video and the presence of legend mike stewart for promotion.

Normally too far away and too expensive to be a good destination for European bodyboarders, Tahiti was visited by a group of euro bodyboarders lately. They were Luis Porkito, Nuno Trovao, Ricardo Faustino, and Luis Bajolo from Portugal, and Ivan Sito and Igor Sanchez from the Canaries. They managed to catch a solid 12feet swell and performed really well according to locals like photographer Tim Mckenna. Also present were Habitué Simon Thorton from Australia, Kelly Hunt of Hawaii, and some surfers beeing towed in.
The unlucky catch went to Ricardo Faustino who hit the reef 5 times and ended up all cut and bruised. "just need to rest a bit" told us mad Faustino.

The waiting period for the coprinos extreme has begun! This event will take place at the wave of coprinos, for some the best reefbreak in Galicia. According to the organization, the event will only take place in good conditions that suits both the spectacle and the riders. stay tuned in vazva.es
