Normally too far away and too expensive to be a good destination for European bodyboarders, Tahiti was visited by a group of euro bodyboarders lately. They were Luis Porkito, Nuno Trovao, Ricardo Faustino, and Luis Bajolo from Portugal, and Ivan Sito and Igor Sanchez from the Canaries. They managed to catch a solid 12feet swell and performed really well according to locals like photographer Tim Mckenna. Also present were Habitué Simon Thorton from Australia, Kelly Hunt of Hawaii, and some surfers beeing towed in.
The unlucky catch went to Ricardo Faustino who hit the reef 5 times and ended up all cut and bruised. "just need to rest a bit" told us mad Faustino.
